EVEN WALMART CAN USE REIKI!

For the Reiki practitioners who say they never have a chance to use the Reiki they learned, follow me on a trip to Walmart, and let me share the five opportunities I had to use this amazing energy technique.

Reiki to the Rescue
1.  On my way to Walmart I sent Reiki to passengers in an
     ambulance.

2.  As I pulled into the Walmart parking lot, two people were              having a very loud disagreement.  I send Reiki to each of                them asking that a peaceful resolution be found.

3.  A screaming child, who looked like she had a very bad cold,         was sitting in the seat of a cart as her mother frantically threw       what she needed into the back of the cart.  I began by sending       Reiki to the mother first, asking that she be able to find the             strength and patience to help her child.  I sent Reiki to the child     next, with the intention that she feel better, and that the                   appropriate attention she needed, whether it be nurturing or medical, would be there for her.

4.   As I was shopping, a small sparrow landed on a metal frame of a sign in the bedding area.  I could       imagine how fast his little heart must have been beating.  He was bobbing up and down, looking         in  every direction, probably thinking to himself, “Now what?"  I sent him Reiki with the                     intention that he find his way out.

5.   As I was checking out, I was observing the woman at the register.  She was an older woman,               hunched over, and looking very tired.  I began to send her Reiki, with the intention that she is             helped with the burdens she seemed to be carrying.

As Reiki practitioners we are given a gift that is meant to be shared.  You don’t need an office or a Reiki table to do Reiki.  Next time you go out, open your eyes and your heart, and let the Reiki flow.

Inviting A Cat Into Your Home Can Be Therapeutic and Healing

Inviting A Cat Into Your Home Can Be Therapeutic and Healing

If you are considering adding a furry friend to your family, keep reading. Hopefully the seven reasons listed below will help you make your decision.

1. Cats are healers. if you pet a cat for a few
minutes, stress seems to melt away and relaxation
takes its place.
Studies show that you might even be lowering your
blood pressure when you pet your cat.
2. A cat’s purr is therapeutic. Scientists have found that a cat purrs at a
frequency
that may improve the healing of bones and muscles.
3. Cats are not judgmental. If you want to spend the day in bed, rather than judge
you, a cat will join you.
4. Cats are gift givers. These gifts might not be of your choosing, but they are
given
as a token of their appreciation. and it’s always nice to feel appreciated.
5. Cats are great listeners. They sit quietly, listening to every word you say,
without
interruptions or criticism.
6. Cats make us laugh. The funniest videos on the internet are about cats. They
are probably so popular because they make us laugh, and laughter is therapeutic.
After adopting a cat, you might even start posting your own hilarious videos.
7. By adopting a cat you save a life. There can be no better reason to feel good
than to save the life of a homeless animal.
Bringing a cat into your life is an important decision. Only you know if it’s the right
decision for you. If you do decide to adopt a cat, it’s nice to know that they can come
with so many benefits!
